Video
As
part of the Visualization in Anthropology course, I have created
a one minute movie trailer for the movie RezRobics used for
the Native American Showcase film entry in the Fargo Film
Festival 2002. I have also provided a 3 minute movie edited
from a video provided by Spatial Data Services Inc. (SDS)
documenting their work in the data collection processes in
order to reconstruct a Mandan earthlodge located at Ft. Lincoln
State Park just south of Mandan, ND. The three minute video
that I have edited was used by Dr. Jeffrey T. Clark for the
computer applications in archaeology conference in Crete.

(Northern Exposure) and Drew LaCapa.

or RealPlayer
The
editing process began by taking the video in Adobe Photoshop
6.0 and run through the video selecting pertenaint shots to
capture the essence of the video. After scenes were selected
and save or deleted I was left with a raw clips with no cohesion
to each other. It was my task to take these individual clips
and tie them into each other using a series of transitions
to make a coherent trailer to be displayed on the Fargo Film
Festival website. After the completion of the editing process
the trailer was saved in a few different formats which include
those listed below.
This
is an eductional video explaining the significance of diabetes
in the Native American society and the importance that proper
diet and exercise has on individuals with diabetes in order
to maintain the proper state of health. In the video Drew
LaCapa is faced with the realization that he must examine
his lifestyle and make healthy changes to ensure a healthy
life.
